Well, at least according to this research.
Among 1,500 women surveyed by Phones 4U Ltd., 54 per cent said they would be likelier to date a man with an iPhone
Admittedly, it was carried out by a cellphone retailer, so it’s in their interest to try to boost sales so was probably quite a biased survey….

So thats why the girl on the train didn’t text back, she had an iphone, while I had a simple crappy cheapest phone I could fine, obviously too uptown for me.

Bet you anything the survey question was “Would you be more or less likely to date a man if he had an iPhone?”, meaning they only got Yes/No answers, and not “Why would his phone matter to me?” or “Well, I quite like the iPhone so I suppose I’d think a little better of him, but then again, if he were showing it off I’d probably think he was a bit pretentious; in either case it’s not the only factor involved, I’d be more interested in…
