I used to fall foul of that, and really hesitate to take things up a level,

I guess after several experiences of this, you kinda get fed up of yourself and start to take action more.

One thing that really did it for me was when I heard from someone "you only regret stuff that you didn't do, but you never regret stuff you did do"... the same wisdom was repeated in the book yes man - danny wallace.

That gave me a lot of perspective on things and I slowly realised every time I didn't make a ballsy move on a girl, I walk away with regret and just thoughts on what could have been.

Furthermore, nowadays even when I do something ballsy like initiate a kiss, or walk up to a big group of girls and go for the girl I want, even if I don't get what I want, I feel great for giving my 100%, and the girl still admires you for trying anyway.

Don't hold back, give you 100%

Giving 100% is always easier than giving 99%
